The third quarter of 2022 showcased interesting trends for the top travel and local apps in the United Arab Emirates. Here’s a closer look at their performance, with data provided by Sensor Tower.

MakeMyTrip - Flights & Hotels experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 15K in late June to around 6.8K by the end of September. Weekly active users also fluctuated, peaking at about 21.9K in early August and closing the quarter at around 21.2K.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel maintained a relatively stable performance. Weekly downloads began at roughly 9.9K in late June, saw a peak at 11.4K in mid-July, and ended at about 6.3K in late September. Active users hovered around the 230K mark, with slight variations, ending the quarter at approximately 222K.

Earth View 3D had a notable spike in weekly downloads early in the quarter, reaching around 16.4K in the first week of July, but saw a steep decline to about 385 by the end of September. Active users exhibited similar trends, peaking at 6.7K in early July and dropping to around 712 by the end of the quarter.

ekar Car Rental - No Deposit showed a consistent upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 1.9K in late June and peaking at 5.3K in late August, before settling at around 2.5K by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 2.8K and peaking at 6.2K in early September, ending the quarter at about 3.9K.

Google Earth maintained steady weekly downloads, fluctuating between 4.5K to 8.3K throughout the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at approximately 25K in late June, peaking at 32.5K in late August, and ending at around 23.6K in late September.
